In this New Year, may God meet you in a special way:
Not by shielding you from sorrow and pain,
But by walking beside you when it comes;
Not by making your path easy,
But by upholding you on the hills and valleys of life’s journey;
Not by taking life’s struggles from you,
But by taking fear from your heart through his perfect love;
Not by granting you unbroken sunshine,
But by being your light, even on dark days;
Not by making your life always happy,
But by enlarging your heart through vulnerability;
And when you yield to the heart of the Father
And lean on him as his child,
He will open the eyes of your heart and enlarge your capacity to love.
May God’s love, joy, peace, and hope meet you
heart to heart in the year ahead.
With the new year before us, many of us will renew our resolve to get spiritually healthy—and emotionally healthy. May we suggest a way to focus on both at the same time–a way to become more heart-connected to the Father through your own emotionally healed heart? Our newly released book, Loving God, Loving Myself: Finding the Heart of The Father in Our Daily Lives, is designed to do just that. We share 55 short daily inspirational readings with accompanying prayers and reflections to take you deeper into the Father’s heart and into yours.
We believe the beginning of the new year can be a perfect time to re-focus and reset our hearts, so ultimately we can love him with all our hearts because our hearts are alive to love. First Him, then ourselves, and then others–just like we love ourselves.
NOTE: If you or someone you know is in need of finding a safe place for emotional and/or spiritual healing and restoration, please contact us at The Father’s Heart Intensive Christian Counseling Ministry through our web site at fathersheart.com or email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
We are located in the North Georgia Mountains in a retreat-oriented environment and have established opportunities for ministry to individuals or couples for time periods as little as a few hours to as long as five days.
